Our Business Rules

Last Updated: May 22, 2024

Here at Sicherheitstechnik Rauenberg, we believe in clear communication. These Terms and Conditions, or 'Business Rules' as we like to call them, explain how we do things when you work with us. They cover everything from getting a quote for your security system, intercom, or access control to the installation itself. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page, with no surprises. Just straightforward dealings, just like you expect from a local business here in Rauenberg.

What These Rules Cover

These rules apply to all the services Sicherheitstechnik Rauenberg provides. That means anything we do for you, like setting up a new alarm system, installing an intercom, or putting in an access control system. When you ask us to do a job, you agree to these simple terms. They make sure we both know what to expect.

Your Quote and Our Work Agreement

When we give you a quote, it's our best estimate based on what we discuss. It's valid for a certain time, usually 30 days. To officially start a job, we'll need a clear confirmation from you – usually in writing or by email. If things change during the project, like if you want something added, we might need to adjust the price. We'll always talk to you first.

Doing the Work

For us to install your security system, intercom, or access control, we'll need access to your property. Please make sure the work area is clear. We also need access to power and maybe your internet, depending on the system. We always try to work cleanly and cause as little disruption as possible. If we need to dig or drill, we'll do it carefully. Your cooperation helps us get the job done right and on time.

How Payment Works

Once the work is done and you're happy, we'll send you an invoice. We usually ask for payment within 14 days of getting the invoice. If payment is late, we might need to send a reminder and charge a small fee, just to cover our extra effort. We prefer to keep things simple, so please pay on time. For bigger projects, we might ask for a partial payment upfront.

What We Guarantee

We stand by our work. For all new installations and parts, you get our standard warranty. This means if something goes wrong because of a faulty part or our installation, we'll fix it. This warranty usually covers defects for two years for private customers and one year for business customers, which is standard here in Germany. It doesn't cover damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

If Plans Change

If you need to cancel a job, please tell us as soon as possible. If we've already ordered special parts or started work, we might need to charge you for the costs incurred. We try to be fair, so the earlier you let us know, the better for everyone.

Ownership of Equipment

Until you've paid the full amount for the security system, intercom, or access control equipment, the parts we installed remain the property of Sicherheitstechnik Rauenberg. Once the invoice is paid in full, it's all yours. This is a common way to do business and protects us both.

Your Personal Information

We handle your personal data carefully. How we collect, use, and protect your information is all explained in detail in our separate Privacy Policy. You can find that page on our website. We want you to feel safe, not just with your property but also with your data.

German Law and Disputes

These rules are based on German law. If there's ever a disagreement that we can't sort out directly (which rarely happens!), any legal proceedings would take place in the courts closest to Rauenberg, Germany. This just keeps things clear and local.

Last Few Details

If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest of the terms still apply fully. We might update these rules now and then. The date at the top of this page will always show when we last made changes. It's always a good idea to check back now and then.
